Fire Underwriters Survey is updating the method for calculating Required Fire Flows for Canada and is making available the revised document for public review. Please advise if you have any feedback or requested revisions.
The guide provides an important benchmark for measuring fire risk in the Canadian fire insurance grading process, but is also used by Canadian civil engineers and water purveyors to design their systems to adequately support public fire protection and manual fire fighting. FUS is seeking input from various stakeholders before formalizing the revisions. The revision cycle for the document will be open until the end of August, 2020.
